Landlord EICR Certificates Leeds: Compliance Guide

BBElectrical Contracting Ltd 5 min read
Landlord EICR electrical testing and inspection certificate Leeds

Since the Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector regulations came into force, every landlord in England must have a valid EICR for each tenanted property.

An EICR is a formal inspection of the fixed wiring in a property. It checks for deterioration, defects and non-compliance with current wiring regulations.

For most rented homes in Leeds, an EICR is required at least every 5 years, or at change of tenancy where requested. Failure to comply can result in significant enforcement action.

We carry out EICRs across Leeds, Wakefield and Harrogate, with remedial quotations and certification issued promptly after inspection.
